Great Ideas For Teaching Students (G.I.F.T.S.) provides an excellent opportunity for faculty members and/or graduate students to share classroom-tested “great ideas” with other educators.  In alignment with the conference theme, submissions are encouraged which promote reflection, examination, celebration, and/or reimagination of Communication scholarship and/or pedagogy and the discipline’s unique positioning for addressing contemporary issues.

G.I.F.T.S. submissions should be emailed as a Word document attachment to: evelyn.plummer@shu.edu no later than July 31, 2023 @ 11:59pm EST.  Selected panelists will be notified via email.

TCNJ Adjunct Position – Fall 2022

The College of New Jersey is seeking an adjunct instructor for 2 sections of COM 117, an introductory class in film studies, for Fall 2022. Applicants should have an M.A. or Ph.D. in Cinema Studies or a related discipline and teaching experience.

Day/Time: Tuesday and Friday, 11-12:20 and 2-3:20

Stipend: $5,850 per course (two sections: $11,700)

2021 Call For Proceedings

Research papers presented at the recent 79th Annual Conference (2021) of the New York State
Communication Association – Changing the Conversation/ Conversations about Change – are
being accepted for blind peer review for the conference proceedings beginning immediately. We
urge you to contribute your work. Submissions will be accepted until June 1, 2022.

NYSCA 2021 COVID Policy

For the health and safety of you, our NYSCA family, the Executive Council of the New York State Communication Association made the careful decision to require masking and proof of COVID vaccination or negative COVID test for participation in our upcoming conference at Villa Roma. Please see this document outlining the details of the policy.

Adjunct Opportunities at Fordham University, Spring 2021

The Department of Communication and Media Studies at Fordham University is currently seeking experienced instructors to teach a range of undergraduate courses in the Spring semester 2021.
 
LOCATION & MODALITY 
Teaching normally takes place at the university’s Rose Hill campus in The Bronx or Lincoln Center campus in Manhattan.
